I chose a Sunflower study unit for fall because fall marks the end of sunflower season.
I tried to fill Ayah’s shelf work with fun, hands-on, challenging and developmentally appropriate lessons and materials. Here’s what l included:

- Sunflower Count and Clip Number Card
- Sunflower Colouring Page & Sunflower Folding Craft
- Sunflower Numbers 1-20 and Sunflower Seeds Mini Cards to Match
These activities pretty much include all learning components. A great way to get little ones invested in what they are doing.
Ayah’s favourite part was the scientific process of a seed to Sunflower, she kept using the new vocabulary to retell the life cycle and anatomy of a sunflower.
Overall, I’m glad she spent her time reveling in the sheer amazing facts about these sun-tracking flowers.
Who knew one Sunflower can contain upto 2000 seeds?? Not me!
